Gran Café Zaragoza

Dr. Abdulmajeed Al-MudarraMy tip
“Thick hot chocolate with “churros”, or coffee with a croissant. Come in the morning or the afternoon on weekdays; during the Pilar fiestas (October) it gets very crowded. Payment is often in cash.”

On Calle Alfonso I, the road to the Basílica del Pilar, the café occupies the historic Aladrén jewelry shop, which opened in 1885 and has kept its facade, iron canopy and original wooden decorations. Its large windows look out onto the stream of visitors heading to the Pilar.
