Dr. Abdulmajeed Al-MudarraMy tip
“Start at the Santuario de la Virgen del Moncayo (1620 m), where there is parking and a restaurant; the most beautiful seasons are autumn and late spring.”

Moncayo (2314 m), the highest peak of the Iberian range, its slopes covered with beech, oak and pine forests; it was a mountain that inspired poets such as Bécquer, who wrote “Letters from My Cell” there; in autumn it becomes a canvas of colors.

Moderate effort, needs a car

By car along a narrow winding road to the sanctuary parking (1620 m), where there is a restaurant. Trails to the summit are hard (3–4 hours); walking near the sanctuary is easy. Cold, wind and fog.
