A fitted recreation area on the slope of the Serra Calderona near the Franciscan monastery of Sant Esperit (15th century), with many barbecues, tables, toilets and a playground, and a mountain view that reaches the sea when you climb a little higher; 30 minutes from Valencia.
Easy to reach, needs a car
By car from Gilet along a paved road (3 km) to a car park right beside the monastery and the tables; level ground and pine shade, toilets and a children’s playground, and the water is not drinkable. Suitable for the elderly. Barbecues are banned in summer and on danger days.
