One of my places in Sevilla

Ermita de Cuatrovitas (antigua mezquita almohade)

Bollullos de la Mitación

  • Originally a mosque (confirmed)
Dr. Abdulmajeed Al-MudarraMy tip
“It sits in the countryside on a dirt track; the inside is usually closed except on special occasions, but the minaret can be seen from outside. 25 minutes from Seville.”

An Almohad rural mosque from the 12th century CE in the Seville countryside, whose minaret still stands. It is one of the very rare examples of Andalusi village mosques that survived demolition.

Easy to reach, needs a car

By car only; in the countryside beyond Bollullos via a rural road and a dirt stretch. The interior is often closed; the minaret is seen from outside. No shade and no services.
