A 15th-century palace of the kings of Navarra, with many towers and balconies, like a palace from a fairytale. It was considered one of the finest palaces in Europe in its day, and had hanging gardens. You can walk all of it and climb its towers.
Easy to reach
Train and buses from Pamplona (40 minutes). The palace is in the town centre, with parking nearby. Inside, narrow spiral stairs lead up the towers, not suitable for pushchairs. Full services.
