My tip“About 50 min by car. The botanical garden has a symbolic fee (≈3€), and its path is flat and easy (1–1.5 hours). The mountain trails range from 1 to 6 hours. Picnic tables, a playground and a café. Combine it with the Baztán valley (in the guide).”
A forest reserve of beech and oak in the Bidasoa valley, an hour north of Pamplona. At its centre are an early 20th-century palace and an artistic botanical garden with trees from every continent, and an enchanting pond. Most beautiful in autumn.
