One of my places in Granada

Iglesia de Santa María de la Alhambra y Baño de la Mezquita

Granada (Alhambra)

  • Originally a mosque (confirmed)
Dr. Abdulmajeed Al-MudarraMy tip
“The church is free to enter within the medina area of the Alhambra; look for the bath on Calle Real de la Alhambra.”

The church (1581–1618 CE) stands on the site of the Alhambra mosque, which Sultan Muhammad III built in 705 AH/1305 CE. The mosque was demolished, but the “mosque bath” that the sultan himself built remains standing beside the church.
