My tip“Take the small bus C31/C32 and walk down through the alleys; sunrise is calmer than the very crowded sunset, and Granada's modern Great Mosque is next to the lookout.”
The Albaicín is the oldest of Granada's quarters, its Zirid core dating to the 11th century, with paved lanes and walled houses known as “cármenes”. After the fall, it was the last Muslim stronghold. From the Mirador de San Nicolás there is the most famous view of the Alhambra, with the snowy mountains behind it.
