My tip“Contact the department by email before the visit to attend a seminar or meet a professor; the faculty library gives a visitor card to researchers, and the university's Arabic manuscripts are kept in the Royal Hospital library.”
The Department of Semitic Studies in Granada is the leading reference for the study of Nasrid Granada, the Moriscos and the Granadan Arabic documents, and since 1952 it has published the journal “MEAH” (Miscelánea de Estudios Árabes y Hebraicos). The faculty is next to the Cartuja campus, and its library holds a large collection on Andalusian studies.
