My tip“A symbolic spot with nothing to see but the view, on the old road south of Granada (about 15 minutes); visit it on your way to the coast.”
The mountain pass where, according to the story, Boabdil the last Nasrid king turned back to look at Granada, weeping, in January 1492. His mother Aisha al-Hurra said to him: “Weep like women for a kingdom you did not defend like men.”
Easy to reach, needs a car
By car on the old N-323a road south of Granada; a roadside viewpoint with a small parking spot, no walking. Restaurant nearby. No sight other than the view.
