My tip“The best view is from below, at the bridge on the road; combine it with Besalú and Olot in one day.”
A village standing on the edge of a basalt volcanic cliff 50 metres high and about a kilometre long, above two rivers, in the Garrotxa volcanic zone; a sight that is hard to believe.
What to see
The basalt cliff seen from the bridge below · the lookout at the church square on the cliff edge · the one street between the stone houses · the green volcanic landscape of the Garrotxa · Besalú a short distance away
How to get there
Teisa bus from Girona (≈1 h) — by car ≈45 min
Easy to reach, needs a car
A viewpoint over the cliff from the N-260 road below the village; a small car park. The village is above it, with short lanes. TEISA buses from Olot/Barcelona are few.
