One of my places in Cáceres y Trujillo

Centro de Interpretación de la Miel (Ovejuela)

Ovejuela (Pinofranqueado)

Dr. Abdulmajeed Al-MudarraMy tip
“It usually opens only on Saturdays and Sundays from 10:00 to 14:00, and may close without notice; call before you go (‎+34 643 90 92 77). Suitable for children from 5 years old. The best time for the area is spring, when the heather and chestnut trees bloom.”

A small center in the village of Ovejuela in the Las Hurdes region, Spain’s largest honey-producing area, explaining how bees make honey and how beekeepers look after them. It can be combined with the region’s waterfalls and river trails.

Easy to reach, needs a car

By car only, along winding mountain roads; a remote village in Las Hurdes. Few services.
