My tip“The town is 3 km away, so you need a car; visit the Lagos de Covadonga early, because the road is closed to private cars in peak seasons.”
The former monastery of San Pedro de Villanueva on the bank of the Sella river at the entrance to the Picos de Europa, with modern rooms and gardens. An excellent base for visiting Covadonga and its lakes.
