Successive waterfalls in dense forest in western Asturias. The highest, Firbia, is about 15 meters. The waterfalls are surrounded by the legend of the “Xanas”, fairies of Asturian folklore. A lush, damp green scene all year round.
Moderate effort, needs a car
Parking at Oneta, then a steep descent to the Firbia waterfall: 10–15 min on a dirt track with a slippery staircase and mud after rain. The climb back is tiring. No services at the waterfall.
