The volcanic Cabo de Gata–Níjar coast in Almería is one of the purest on the Mediterranean, with cliffs, lava rocks, sea caves and Posidonia meadows. The village of “La Isleta del Moro” carries in its name the memory of the Andalusi past.

La Isleta del Moro is a small village along the Cabo de Gata roads; park near the harbour. Diving is by booking, with age limits. No shade and fierce heat in summer, and few services. A car is essential.
