One of my places in Madrid

Campo del Moro

Dr. Abdulmajeed Al-MudarraMy tip
“Its only entrance is from Paseo de la Virgen del Puerto (below the palace); from it you get the finest view of the Royal Palace, and peacocks roam it.”

The western gardens of the royal palace, sloping down towards the Manzanares river. They are called “the Moor's Field” (Campo del Moro) because the Almoravid prince Ali ibn Yusuf ibn Tashfin camped there in 1109, when he besieged the fortress of Mayrit.
