My tip“A short, easy trail for families; combine it with the black-architecture villages (Majaelrayo, Campillo, Valverde de los Arroyos).”
Limestone formations carved by water and wind into arches, small caves and perforated rocks, in a juniper forest near Tamajón. A quieter, smaller version of the Ciudad Encantada in Cuenca.
What to see
The trail among the limestone formations and arches · the village of Tamajón · the nearby black-architecture villages (Campillo and Majaelrayo) · walks among the juniper trees
Easy to reach, needs a car
Beside the road near the Los Enebros hermitage: a car park, then short, nearly level paths between the rocks, 15–30 min. No adequate shade and no services; Tamajón (cafés) is 5 min away. A car is needed.
