A small forest with a northern character, with a little lake and a wooden cabin on the edge of the Lozoya River, along a flat path suitable for strollers. One of the best autumn walks in the El Paular valley.
Easy to reach, needs a car
By car to Rascafría, then a car park near the forest; level walk of about 1–3 km there and back. Good shade.
Barbecue
Not allowed: the Madrid region bans barbecues and lighting fires in forest areas all year round, including recreation areas; bring ready-made food.
