A viewpoint over Madrid’s historic “corniche”: the Royal Palace and the Almudena Cathedral above the Manzanares valley, on the very spot where the Islamic fortress of Mayrit once stood. Below the viewpoint are the remains of the Arab wall on Cuesta de la Vega.
