It occupies the old hospital building (Hospital del Cardenal Salazar), a few steps from the Great Mosque, and houses the research centre for Islamic Córdoba, the archaeology of Madinat al-Zahra and Arabic studies. Arabic language and Andalusi history are taught here, in the heart of the Umayyad capital.
