One of my places in Barcelona

Plaça del Sol (Gràcia)

Dr. Abdulmajeed Al-MudarraMy tip
“Walk by day or in the afternoon with children; the squares become noisy at night on weekends. Combine it with a visit to nearby Casa Vicens Gaudí.”

Gràcia was an independent village until 1897 and still keeps the spirit of a village: narrow lanes open onto small squares such as Plaça del Sol, Plaça de la Virreina and Plaça del Rellotge, surrounded by cafés and craft shops. In August its streets are decked with decorations made by residents for the famous Gràcia festival.

What to see

Plaça del Sol, the heart of the quarter · the “La Vila” square and its clock tower · Gran de Gràcia street and its modernist buildings · Casa Vicens by Gaudí · the Gràcia festival with its decorated streets in August · the nearby Park Güell
